Diamonds by KA Linde
Bryna feels his eyes on her.
Hot, seductive, enticing.
He’s at least ten years older than her seventeen years, and he knows exactly what he’s doing to her with that look.
Walking away would be the smart thing to do…
But she can’t. Not that first night when he takes her home and claims her body. Not when he shows up in her life again with expensive gifts to win her trust. Not even when she’s falling for him, and everything else is falling apart…
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and the new All That Glitters series is off to being a fast friend. Once again KA Linde has written a story that will divide the views of her readers! A bit on the controversial side, Bryna is the girl that you love to hate, who gets involved with someone 10 years her senior. Of course this relationship is filled with lies of omission which is sure to keep the tension high. In this author’s writing I love that she doesn’t make it easy to like the main characters. As customary, these characters will evoke strong feelings of love, hate, disgust, irritation and that makes the story appealing. I tire of the virginal, innocent victim of a girl and fortunately Bryna is quite the opposite. She is more the type that you both want to punch in the throat and go shopping with. Bryna is the definition of ‘keep your friends close and your enemies closer’. You wouldn’t want to turn your back on her. And so it goes that KA Linde has ensnared me in another fictional world which I just don’t want to leave because I can’t help but want to see Bryna redeem herself and get what’s coming to her.
Diamonds is a whirlwind, fast paced hot and fun read, filled with frustration, angst and plenty to anticipate in the series. 3.5 Shine Bright stars
